The mission of the Honor Guard is to honor, remember and celebrate active, retired and fallen Firefighters throughout the area. The unit has participated in many memorial services. We are looking to grow as time goes on.
The Honor Guard has a high profile role in the public relations efforts of the Mt. Morris Fire District. The diversity we proudly celebrate in our department is reflected in the Honor Guard.
Firefighter/Paramedic Mark Lewis commands the unit. Other members include: Captain Steve Foss, Firefighter/EMT Justin Stewart, Firefighter/EMT Breanna Norup. and Firefighter Marshal Hackerson.
Honor Guard members are all Firefighters who volunteer their time and financial support. Although we have some financial backing, there are many equipment and clothing items that are not covered.
